Son of R-Truth denies claim from Triple H that his father’s WWE return was “all part of the show”

Last weekend, R-Truth announced that he was leaving WWE. As seen during the 2025 WWE Money in the Bank PLE, R-Truth made a surprise appearance when he attacked John Cena.

While speaking at the Money in the Bank post-show, Paul “Triple H” Levesque briefly addressed R-Truth’s return by saying it was all part of the show.” However, R-Truth’s son Christopher Killings wrote “stop the cap” (slang term for stop lying or exaggerating) via an Instagram story in response to the claim from Triple H. Killings ended up deleting the story but also wrote, “Congrats on the new deal dad.”

Furthermore, R-Truth himself wrote “No work” on Twitter/X when a claim was made that everyone “got worked.”

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com elaborated on the situation…

“There is not one person in WWE behind the scenes claiming that the R-Truth contract expiration was a work. Not one. Not even an ‘it could have been.’

A lot of people were very upset he was gone. Many had direct, emotional conversations with R-Truth. He wasn’t happy that it happened. Obviously everyone like that is very happy about it now, especially when it comes to what it could mean for them in a similar situation.

Not only did R-Truth announce his own departure (it wasn’t ‘broken’ by a website), WWE clarified that it was a contract expiration and not a release. Then other contract expiration notifications were made.

Probably about the only thing WWE could have done worse than letting R-Truth go was to lie to the entire roster and staff about letting the most beloved guy on the roster go.”
